Thank you for your prayer, love and support during this difficult time. While we are overjoyed to meet our little son, Conner, it has been, and will continue to be a tough long road.
After unexpectedly having a stroke the day after Easter, I was admitted to the hospital for a week, and then readmitted for, again, stroke symptoms . . . believed to be results of the very difficult pregnancy. My c-section was scheduled and rescheduled, to avoid risk of further strokes, and Conner Sean Hinze was born on April 27th, 5 weeks premature.
Conner has done relatively well, considering what he is dealing with . . . Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome), a brain hemorrhage, collapsed lung, and an incomplete esophagus . . . Breathing issues are the most critical day to day right now, as he fights hard to overcome all the secretions that fill up the tiny esophageal pocket and constantly threaten to stop his breathing. Because the secretions have nowhere to go, he can’t swallow at all (like you or I do all day long without any effort). He has a suction tube in his mouth, going the full distance of his short esophagus, suctioning day and night. He has life threatening moments daily, as he waits and grows (in the NICU – neonatal ICU), and waits for his repair surgery (which will be in several months).
Meanwhile, my husband Sean just had back surgery this week, to repair a badly herniated disc, which, through it all, has caused increasingly immense pain.
It’s been stressful.
If you would, please pray for endurance, patience and strength for us . . . Each day seems to bring new challenges with Conner’s care . . . And for little Conner, as he bravely continues to fight for life. He is a delightful tiny blessing, and already he is over 7 pounds! He is, indeed, a very sweet little boy.
Love to you all . . . I miss you, and leading you to our Lord in worship, immensely. Hope to see you very soon.
Kimberly

Kimberly,
I am so sorry you are going through this. Jesus heals. Do not worry. It is so easy for God to heal your son, from the Trisomy 21 to the incomplete esophagus. You make a good mother – tending to your son.
Bless you – Victoria
We are praying for you, your sweet baby and wonderful husband. You have blessed us with your beautiful voice as you have lead worship. You are such an inspiration to my family. Our hearts and prayers from our small group are with you at this time. We appreciate the update on how your little son is doing.
We believe that God will perform a miracle in your families life. We love you and will continue to offer our prayers up to our faithful Lord.
Kimberly, you are an inpiration to all of us for the courage God has given you in this special task of caring for Conner. May your days be filled with peace and trust in Him. Our journey’s objective is to acknowledge the teachings he sends our way even in a time of uncertainty and vulnerability. I know the daily challenges must be heavy but don’t allow them to take your God given joy. Conner needs to perceive that in you. It has been beautiful to enjoy your leading worship but for now let Conner exclusively delight in that beautiful voice of yours.
Kimberly, Truly we pray for our Heavenly Father to wrap His arms, love and wisdom around your family. You and your husband are in the most difficult of trials, physically, emotionally and spiritually and are so loved by all of us. You all remain in our hearts and prayers for God’s daily provision…Truly you cannnot do this on your own. Will continue to pray for your strength and may the love of your husband, son and Heavenly Father bring you through to the sunshine.
