Thanks to everyone who helped make the Haiti Rummage Sale such a huge success! Just got this email from Doty (one of our Community/World team members):
We roughly brought in $8000 in today’s sale. I have yet to get the total after the expenses are deducted from that.
Bev said the amazing thing is that we obviously were able to help those struggling in our local communities as well as the profits benefiting Haiti.
Nothing was wasted. At the end of the day, books were donated to the library, kids’ clothes to our orphan ministries, all others to the Battered Women’s shelter and another community.
So cool how our church body really supported this endeavor by volunteering, donating and shopping even if we just had two weeks to put everything together.

Calvary Church is to be commended for its effort in helping with Haiti relief. What a unique method in raising funds. Think how much money could be raised if all churches followed this example?
