Thanks for Being Generous to Haiti

THANK YOU, Calvary, for stepping up to help with our relief efforts in Haiti.

Last weekend, more than $40,000 was given in the special offering to help Haiti! An estimated $25,000 worth of medical supplies, unused prescriptions, and medicines have been gathered so far from the generosity of the Calvary family, their friends, and others Conejo Valley who heard about the opportunity to donate these necessary items. Thanks too for the many man hours that volunteers have put in to help coordinate and accomplish our efforts together.

As a church, we have committed to be involved in Haiti not just for the relief efforts, but also with recovery and rebuilding of lives, orphanages, and churches.

Please be involved in some way.  Here are some ideas.

PRAY:

• Our first relief team is on their way to Haiti today.  They desperately need your prayer covering every day as they go.  Please pray that God will direct their every step and use their gifts in powerful ways to bring help and hope in Jesus’ Name.
• Pray for the people of Haiti who have lost so much, that the loving arms of God would hold them in these difficult days.

GIVE:

• If you would like to give to Calvary’s Haiti Relief Fund, please write checks to Calvary Community Church and put “Haiti” in the memo.   Checks can be dropped in the offering boxes or mailed to the church office.  ALL funds will be used for the relief and rebuilding efforts of our teams going to Haiti and to give supplies to our partners there on the ground.

GO:

• If you would like to join a mission team sent by Calvary in the coming months, please sign up at the Mission Counter following services or email us. (You can also be part of a team without going with them physically by helping them raise funds and gather supplies.)
• Immediately needed skills are: security and medical personnel, counselors, French speakers, contractors, and other workers.
