I had my son out of wedlock. I gave him up for adoption. I searched for him, and found him when he was just turning 22. He was married with a 2/3 month old daughter. When I first met him, he told me he was a Christian and that really formed our initial bond. The parents who adopted him were never supportive of our re-union. My son’s adoptive mother died ( I was blamed for her cancer and death). Since then by son has basically shut me out). I don’t consider him a prodigal, but I desperately want to feel forgiveness and acceptance from him. I have read a book called “The Primal Wound” and consequently choose not to give up trying to express my love. My prayer is that my son turns back to his Lord.

Why Shavings?
Nineteenth century pastor Charles Spurgeon described "shavings" as good stuff that can't fit and so is usually left out of sermons or leadership discussions.
